The Call.....

People with disabilities
Are as beautiful as butterflies
Sometimes it's hard to fly
With broken wings
but daily we hope
As the world brings...
Us to the forefront
Of a sitting scare
A silly stereotype
Or the worst snare
How we cry
And we weep
But our dreams
We keep
As we whistle away
To what they say
About the disadvantaged.
But should we believe
So shallow we seek
To brave the watery deep
To build a bridge
That they could walk
Across a cold winter sky
Sitting on gold
Without blame or lie
The best role models for us
Is that one in the sky
Who shows compassion to all
Who sees every call
Every heart we mend
Every stare we send
But for us to know
They beautiful with wings
Will never forgive us
For their sufferings
The abuse and neglect
That had no place to set
As an action in our heart
To show them how shallow
Those normal people are
Who don't consider others
Who don't love their brothers
Sisters aren't special
And Summers aren't sentimental
If we only open our eyes
We see these folks
They're sufferings
Black, white, disabled and all
Deserving of respect and fall
Because we run short
Of the long mile
Rummaging through belongings and
Listening to a friend
But failing to see
That disabled was me
And they forgot about my heart,
How she cursed and she tread
Crying about her bed
For the sad state of her heart
Wanting to be touched
Feeling of wanting to be loved
Somebody spare her-her transgressions
Mend the wings of a butterfly
So that it can learn to fly
Because how will we picnic
If we scream and we kick
And damage the world among us
Instead release the butterfly
That bird in the sky
Let the deer frolic
Let the coyotes call
Let the wolf howl
And let there be peace
Among the meek
Humility of the disabled and disadvantaged
So they can shop their heart
And bargain their wings again
To flutter away
To what they say
And mend their ways
Able to stay
Perfect just by what they say
In the eyes of those who love
And see God's eyes
Through their eyes
And Love their heart just the way they are....
